Incoterms 1990 are a set of uniform rules codifying the interpretation of trade terms defining the rights and obligations of both buyer and seller in an international transaction, thereby enabling an otherwise complex basis for a sale contract to be accomplished in three letters.
- Terms EXW, FCA, CPT, DDU & DDP can be used for all modes of transport.
- Terms FOB CFR & CIF should be used for Sea and Inland waterway only.
- Other terms are available and may be more applicable to your requirement
- It is generally accepted that the party who pays the Freight selects the Carrier
